We are getting ready to place our second order for Structural Insulated Panels this year. If you are not familiar with SIP’s, you can learn more here: http://rockymountaintinyhouses.com/sips-vs-stick-framing-for-tiny-houses/
One of the main disadvantages of SIP’s is the high cost of freight and timing. To combat this issue, we try to get multiple houses on one truck to spread the cost of freight out. I am charged the same price for a truck whether there is one house on the truck or six. We currently only have two projects in the queue with room for 2-3 more.
