In addition to building ready to live in Tiny Houses and offering plans, I can also provide the following services.
Consulting As a builder, I obviously would rather my clients buy a complete house, but as someone who was first attracted to a Tiny House as something that I could build with my very own two hands, I whole-heartedly embrace the DIY’er. For those of you who don’t have much of a construction background, or even those who do but perhaps have questions about the intricacies of Tiny Houses, I am here to help! I am available via phone, email, and in person if you are in the Durango area. I am willing to travel out of area, but obviously you will have to cover my travel expenses. My unique background in architecture, carpentry, construction management, and real estate investing always has my brain computing what is a creative way to accomplish a design goal while keeping it safe, cost effective, and attractive. I thrive off of little things like this, and am more than happy to share my passion with you.
Custom Design Everyone’s needs and tastes are different. There are some fantastic Tiny House plans out there, but for some individuals, they just don’t make the cut. I have nearly ten years of architectural experience working with individuals to develop home designs that meet their needs. Furthermore, I aim to provide you with custom plans at an affordable price. We’re dealing with humble Tiny Houses here, not showpieces! Read More…
Partial Builds A lot of people wish to go the DIY route, but perhaps don’t have the time or the expertise for the most difficult and most crucial part of the build, the shell. As long as whatever part you are needing me to build can safely travel down the road, I can do it! In my terms, the shell is a trailer with a floor, framed walls and roof that have been sheathed on the outside, covered in housewrap, windows installed, and have siding and roofing applied. There is no work done on the inside at all, including wiring, plumbing, insulation, interior surfaces, trim, etc. This is all left for you! I think the least amount of work I would be comfortable selling to you is a trailer with all the framing done and the walls sheathed, maybe even the roof depending on the design. This is a fantastic way to get a solid foundation for you tiny house at great price and still be able to get a lot of splinters in your own hands!
Other? Is there some other service Tiny House related that I haven’t mentioned? Let’s Talk! I’m open to all sorts projects.
