I take great pride in working with local vendors for most of my supplies and services.
Hiebco manufactures the trailers I use for my Tiny Houses on wheels. There are easy to work with for customization and sell trailers at an outstanding price.
Durango Salvage is not only my next door neighbor, but I’m always running over here to grab little bits and pieces and when practical, larger bundles of wood or metal that I can use in my Tiny Houses. They also carry a large assortment of used doors, windows, sinks, and other interior fixtures for way less than you could find new.
Colorado Fenestra Handles any new window orders that I might need. They are authorized distributors for Jeld Wen, Kolbe, and Pella, as well as host of hardware and door companies. Much easier to work with than a large chain supplier, same costs, better lead times. I love these guys!
Handcrafted House provides me with eco friendly and non toxic wood finishes
Lewis Mercantile is my main contractor supply. I get anything from framing lumber to metal straps to metal roof and siding to wood siding and then some. Real good folks to deal with.
Habitat for Humanity I occasionally pop in here to check out windows, doors, and fixtures that I can potentially use in a house.
Las Animas Hardwoods supplies my specialty solid woods such as maple, birch, alder, and other hard to find wood species.
