At 10,200 feet above sea level, Leadville, CO is the highest incorporated town in America. I took a trip out there to document the local architecture and get some inspiration for the design of this model. The original houses in town are what I would call “mining Victorian” They are generally small and have very ornate Victorian detailing. What is most striking are the bold colors and variety of cedar shake textures. I also noticed a lot of common details that you will see paraphrased in this model.
